Our Core Values

Grace

We value grace through faith in Jesus Christ and the Lutheran understanding of Scriptures and the Christian faith.

"For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast" (Ephesians 2:8-9 ESV).

Christian Character

We value integrity in ministry to God’s people which includes honesty, allegiance, loyalty, and trust in relationships.

"Show yourself in all respects to be a model of good works, and in your teaching show integrity, dignity, and sound speech that cannot be condemned, so that an opponent may be put to shame, having nothing evil to say about us" (Titus 2:7-8 ESV).

Servant Leadership

We value servanthood and leadership as modeled by Jesus.

"It shall not be so among you. But whoever would be great among you must be your servant, and whoever would be first among you must be your slave, even as the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many" (Matthew 20:26-28 ESV).

Excellence

We value professional development, advanced training, innovative teaching, and standards of excellence in education.

"Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things" (Philippians 4:8 ESV).

Collaboration

We value working together to share, learn, advocate, and celebrate.

"Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God" (Colossians 3:16 ESV).
