Hold membership in Lutheran Education Association.

Be a participant in the respective Network.

Have access to e-mail and the Internet.

Attend Network Leadership meeting once each year (usually a Thursday, Friday, Saturday in September in River Forest).

Participate in occasional Network Leadership Team conference calls.

Attend and participate in representing LEA at the LEA Convocation (triennial) and Network events.

Serve one three-year term (eligible for a second term).

Possess a credit card on which travel expenses may be charged. All expenses associated with LEA Network meetings are reimbursed by LEA.

Chair Network meetings.

Create agenda and establish meeting details for meetings; create other plans as necessary. Communicate same with LEA office.

Act as primary spokesperson for the Network.

Challenge leadership Team in finding new ways to serve members.

Raise-up issues affecting Network constituency.

Promote growth in membership.

Lead team or appoint committee in recommending appointments to the Leadership Team.

Appoint planning committees for Network events.

Work with Leadership Team members to select Network-sponsored awards.

Generate ideas and plan resources, communicate same to Director of Publications and Communications (DPC).

Obtain/suggest authors/creators for publications and other resources.

Suggest Web site adjustments to DPC.

Collaborate with other Networks in long-term planning of resources.

Co-moderate and stimulate discussion on the Network listserv.

Assist in planning Network events.

Select recipients of Network-sponsored awards.
