Style and Production Guide for Resources

Organizational Identity

This guide is for LEA staff, Network Leadership Teams, and all others who perform service on behalf of or at the direction of LEA. The objective is to maintain high standards and brand consistency on all goods and services provided by the organization.

Organizational Identity: Titles
Lutheran Education Association is the main identity used in conjunction with all network names or in partnership with other organizations.

The primary reference to Lutheran Education Association in any external document is spelled out and followed by LEA in parentheses, i.e., Lutheran Education Association (LEA). Thereafter, LEA may be used without the full spelling preceding it.

The primary reference to networks is preceded by LEA, e.g., LEA Directors of Christian Education Network. Thereafter, networks may delete the LEA and use the shorthand version of their names, e.g., ETnet.

Proper network names and their shorthand renditions are the following:

LEA Curriculum & Resources for Educators Network

CUREnet

LEA Directors of Christian Education Network

DCEnet

LEA Early Childhood Educators Network

ECEnet

LEA Elementary Teachers Network

ETnet

LEA Integrating Technology Network

Organizational Identity: Logo
LEA and its networks share a common logo. The LEA logo is a registered trademark of Lutheran Education Association. Its use is restricted to the LEA and its networks.

The LEA logo appears on the front page of all publications and resources produced by LEA and its networks. The only exception is for commercially published resources purchased in finished condition by LEA or its networks.

The size of the logo must be proportional to the resource or communication on which it appears; therefore, take care to reduce or enlarge it proportionally by dragging on the corners of the graphic box.

Colors for the logo vary. Most publications will carry the logo in black, reverse, or blue (PMS 293), which is the preferred color. Other appropriate colors complement background colors of the specific publication. A four-color version may be used for special events.

The sample in black appears as follows:

Network identification will be spelled out in tag line or other form associated with the publication or publicity.

Workshop, Conference, and Convocation Theme Graphics
Planners for workshops, conferences, academies, convocations, and similar events may develop a graphic for that event. Plan to incorporate the LEA logo in all publicity pieces.
