Network Chair

LEA Staff Responsibility

1.

Chair network meetings

Negotiate and sign contracts for meetings.

2.

Create agenda and establish meeting details for meetings; create other plans as necessary. Communicate same with LEA office.

Arrange agenda and communicate same for NCC meetings.

3.

Represent network at Network Coordinating Council (NCC) meetings

Provides network facilitator/facilitation through the Dir. of Publications/Communications (DPC). DPC is the first point of connection between Network Chair and LEA

 

Facilitate and coordinate NCC meetings.

 

Communicate action by Board of Directors.

4.

Act as primary spokesperson for the network

5.

Challenge Leadership Team in finding new ways to serve members.

 

6.

Raise-up issues affecting network constituency. 

7.

Coordinate the scheduling of projects, publications, and events within the Leadership Team and with the NCC.

Monitor action plan and arrange collaboration.

Enroll Chair as member of all Networks.

8.

Promote growth in membership.

9.

Lead team or appoint committee in recommending appointments to the Leadership Team.

 LEA staff, especially through the DPC, acts as consultant to the process.

10.

Appoint planning committees for academies and other Network events in consultation with LEA staff.

Assist Chair and Leadership Team by suggesting appropriately skilled and interested event leadership from among LEA members.

11.

Direct all Network activity according to budgeted funds.

Provide budget in consultation with Network Chair.

 

Resource Coordinator

Provide leadership and coordination for all publications, resources, communications, etc.

1.

Generate ideas and plan resources; communicate same to Director of Publications and Communications (DPC).

Advise and consult for print and electronic materials and resources.

2.

Obtain authors/creators for publications and other resources.

Negotiate and sign all author, supplier, or other agreements.

 

 

Edit, format, print, and distribute all resources sent to members.

3.

Suggest website adjustments to DPC.

Design and maintain website

4.

Collaborate with other networks in long-term planning of resources.

Coordinate long-term planning of network resources

5.

Co-moderate and stimulate discussion on the network listserv.

Moderate and stimulate discussion on the listserv through the Director of Publications/Communications.

   

Determine deadlines for production and distribution of resources.

Professional Growth Coordinator

Network Responsibility

LEA Staff Responsibility

1.

Attend and actively participate in planning committees for conferences and other training events

Negotiate and sign all contracts.

 

 2.

Articulate the goals of events with the LEA’s mission statement.

Handle all financial transactions.

 3.

Route all notes, minutes and communication for academies, conferences and events to LEA Staff and Leadership Team.

Advise and consult for print and electronic materials.

Edit, format, print, and distribute all mailings (traditional and electronic), print pieces, and web pages for academies, conferences and other events.

4.

When a District or group requests academy or institute services, consult LEA staff to determine cost to the sponsors.

LEA staff will apply a formula to arrive at an appropriate charge for all academies or other events contracted by an entity outside of the LEA Networks.
