Network Leadership

Each network has a Leadership Team composed of the following: Network Chair, Resource Coordinator, and Professional Growth Coordinator. The Network Coordinating Council (NCC) is composed of the Network Chairs and LEA Staff.

Term of Appointment
Leadership Team members are appointed for a three-year term. They may serve no more than two terms on the Leadership Team.

Note: Those who consent to appointment normally have access to the Internet and a fax machine. In addition, travel related to Leadership Team activities normally requires use of a personal credit card. LEA travel related charges are reimbursed by LEA based on credit card statements and/or receipts. Team Leaders should be able to attend meetings, which are established well in advance.

Appointment Process

1.

The Leadership Team as a whole suggests replacements for Leadership Team members who have completed their terms. Potential replacements must be LEA members.

2.

The Leadership Team recommends appropriate candidates to LEA staff and Board of Directors through the Director of Publications & Communications, who also serves as Network Coordinator. LEA staff will communicate with candidates.

Publicity Package
LEA office provides a package of communication pieces to inform congregations/schools/agencies to which Leadership Team and Board of Directors belong. These pieces are intended to thank and inform the congregations/schools/agencies for the participation of one of their members.

The publicity package includes the following:

Prior to accepting appointment (as requested): Information sheet directed at primary employer, which will describe the benefits and responsibilities of participation on an LEA Leadership Team.

At time of appointment: Announcement of appointment, including type of services members will render to LEA, and a press release suitable for congregation, district, and local news.

Annually: Thank-you letter to congregation/school/agency for services of person.
