LEA Awards for Secondary Professionals

 

Learn more about these awards. General qualifications appear below:

 

LEA Distinguished Lutheran Secondary Educator

  • Strong commitment to serving the Lord

  • Active in local community as well as Lutheran community

  • Commitment to excellence and meeting the social, emotional, spiritual, and cognitive needs of students                    

  • Teacher or other high school professional in grades 9–12 at a Lutheran high school

  • Four (4) or more years experience in a Lutheran school

  • Equipped and willing to profess and teach Christian faith from a Lutheran perspective; desirable: Synodically trained, colloquized, or active participant in Colloquy program

  • Demonstrates effective professional skills and relational skills

  • Active member of LEA, participant in SECnet, and member of other professional associations

 

LEA Outstanding New Lutheran Secondary Educator

  • Strong commitment to serving the Lord with strong potential for future service in Lutheran education

  • Active in local community as well as Lutheran community

  • Commitment to excellence and meeting the social, emotional, spiritual, and cognitive needs of students                    

  • Teacher or other high school professional in grades 9–12 at a Lutheran high school

  • Three or fewer years experience in a Lutheran school

  • Equipped and willing to profess and teach Christian faith from a Lutheran perspective; desirable: Synodically trained, colloquized, or active participant in Colloquy program

  • Demonstrates effective professional skills and relational skills

  • Active member of LEA, participant in SECnet, and member of other professional associations
