Worthy recipients of this award demonstrate the following:

Strong commitment to serving the Lord outside the United States
Commitment to excellence and meeting the social, emotional, spiritual, and cognitive needs of children and families
Teacher in preschool through high school in Lutheran ministries located outside the United States
Four (4) or more years experience in educational ministries outside the United States
Demonstrates effective teaching skills
Active member of LEA and member of other professional associations
