Affirming Educators

Lutheran Education Association affirms exemplary educators through 15 annual awards.

Each award recognizes educational ministry characterized by strong commitment to serving Jesus Christ and excellence and effectiveness in teaching, leadership, and professionalism. Specific qualifications appear in each nomination document and on the Network Web pages.

LEA confers awards after nominations and nominee self-profiles are considered by a panel of peers, which chooses honorees based on the merits described in supporting documents.

Awards are presented during the year of selection, but all recipients are honored again at LEA's triennial Convocations.

Deadlines in the award process are the following:

October 1: Deadline for nominations

November 1: Deadline for submission of nominee self-profile packet

Awards and Nomination Forms

  Three ways to complete and submit nominations:

1. Online nominations may be completed and sent by clicking on the name of the award.

2. PDF forms may be downloaded, printed, completed, and faxed or mailed to LEA, 7400 Augusta St., River Forest, IL 60305. The fax number is 708.209.3458.

3. Microsoft Word format may be downloaded, completed on your Word word processor, and mailed, faxed, or emailed as an attachment to kathy.slupik@lea.org.
