Lutheran Education Association believes that those who minister in Lutheran schools and congregations need to assist their congregational decision-makers in selecting benefits that are reasonable for both the congregation/school and the workers.
Congregations and schools using the LCMS Worker Benefit Plans/Concordia Health Plans will be choosing from four coverage options by January 1, 2004. Church workers and congregational leaders need to inform themselves and consider the ramifications of their choices. No single decision will help all workers in all congregations.
LEA offers this annotated list of Web sites to help church workers and their governing boards to make educated decisions. We consider these worth reading. (LEA does not endorse any of these sites as the ultimate authority or expert on Flexible Spending Accounts or Cafeteria Plans.)
