As blessed by God, Lutheran Education Association is the global collaborative community of choice, welcoming all educators and workers in ministry.

Core Values
Grace

  • We value grace through faith in Jesus Christ and the Lutheran understanding of Scriptures and the Christian faith.
  • "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast"  (Ephesians 2:8-9).

Christian Character
We value integrity in ministry to God’s people which includes honesty, allegiance, loyalty, and trust in relationships.
"In everything set them an example by doing what is good.  In your teaching show integrity, seriousness, and soundness of speech that cannot be condemned"  (Titus 2:7-8).

Servant Leadership
We value servanthood and leadership as modeled by Jesus.
"Whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be your slave—just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many"  (Matthew 20:26-28). 

Excellence
We value professional development, advanced training, innovative teaching, and standards of excellence in education.
"Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things"  (Philippians 4:8).

Collaboration
We value working together to share, learn, advocate and celebrate.
"Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts"  (Colossians 3:16).
